Bob and I went to the movies Friday night. A big occasion for us since we are the rent and watch from home kind of people. I got free movie ticket coupons at Safeway (no clue why they gave them to me, but I didn't argue). Aren't we the hip, happening couple. We get free movie tickets and we go see.... Ice Age: The Meltdown. How pathetic is that?
Hey, it was funny, okay. I love a good laugh and I wasn't in the mood for any of the lame offerings at the theatre. I recommend this one.
Any good movies out now? We have another free movie coupon from fandango (I won it at work as a prize for the extra work on a special project.)
I usually pay no attention to what's out in the theatres since we usually rent through Blockbuster Online. So I need some recommendations. Help me out here.

Hey, that's the last movie I saw as well. I am the worst person to give movie recommendations!! I only ever see kids movies!
What kind of movies are you looking for? Humour? Romantic? Scary?
As far as I know, what's out now are The Da Vinci Code, Mission: Impossible III, X-Men, Poseidon [the remake], An American Haunting, United 93 [which is based on the actual plane during 9/11], and this July, Pirate of the Caribbean 2.
Marg: I can identify. I love kids movies. One of my favorites: Finding Nemo.
Maili: My favorite is romantic comedy and Bob likes action adventure, but I put my foot down at scary. I hate scary. Being scared is not my idea of fun. Name any scary movie made in the last 30 years and I can bet you a million bucks I have never seen it. (one exception - Jaws - Bob dragged me to that one when we were dating and I had my eyes closed through at least half of it). From your list Pirates 2 sounds good and maybe the DaVinci Code.
Maybe The Breakup with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. That's supposed to be a RomCom. Personally, I wouldn't want to put any more money in crazy-ass Tom Cruise's pockets but you could go see Mission Impossible and Bob will get his action and you can laugh at how far C-ATC has fallen.
Yeah, but Bob hates C-ATC almost as much as I do. Ever since Top Gun where he thought he was an arrogant little snot nose twerp. Who knew, he was right. It took me until the Oprah incident and the Scientology crap to get the same level of disgust. The Breakup sounds about right for me though. Thanks.
Over the Hedge, huh? Hmmm, I'll check it out. Thanks.
