I mentioned Anne Stuart's next book in my last post but I wanted to give a little more detail with a book blurb from Stuart's website.
Ice Storm
MIRA (November 2007) ISBN: 978-0-7783-2500-0
Behind her mask is a deadly secret...
The powerful head of the covert mercenary organization The Committee, Isobel Lambert is a sleek, sophisticated professional who comes into contact with some of the most dangerous people in the world. But beneath Isobel’s cool exterior a ghost exists, haunting her with memories of another life...a life that ended long ago.
But Isobel’s past and present are about to collide when Serafin, mercenary, assassin and the most dangerous man in the world, makes a deal with The Committee. Seventeen years ago Isabel shot him and left him for dead. Now it looks as if he’s tracked her down for revenge. But Isobel knows all too well that looks can be deceiving...and that’s what she’s counting on to keep her cover in this international masquerade of murder.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Did I do that right?
Sounds good! Isobel appeared in previous books and was an enigmatic character. She appears to be a bit older than the other heroines in this series. I can hardly wait. I want to pre-order but that rarely works out the way it should. I end up getting it faster by just going to the book store and haunting them till they cough it up.
In other news, Harlequin is offering an Anne Stuart Out-of-Print Gems eBook bundle which includes:
Night of the Phantom
One More Valentine
Cinderman
The Soldier and the Baby
I think I probably have all but one of these. I read TSATB and it's a keeper. The other 2 are in the TBR. The price is $15.96 which is kinda steep I think but then it is 4 books.
Her website also mentions that she has written an erotic romance in collaboration with Jennifer Crusie and Eileen Dreyer titled The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes. Can you imagine a book written by Crusie and Stuart? Crusie does light and Stuart does dark. Might be strange. Anyway, it's due out in July 2007.
All of this information is on her website. Just thought I'd share.

I knew about The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes because I squee for Crusie the way you squee for Stuart. :) But I didn't know they were billing it as erotic romance! Maybe they didn't mean erotic erotic. Just sexy romance? Seems odd.
And I know what you mean about the different writing styles (though I've never read Dreyer, so I don't know about her). I'm hoping it works.
That's exactly the way you do it!! I knew there was an anthology coming out with her in it but I had forgotten which it was.
So, squeeeeee!!!!
CindyS
There's actually a website for the Crusie/Stuart/Dreyer release. Here's the link for any interested. I'm actually looking forward to this book. Should be interesting as I enjoy all the writers and they are each writing a different sister's POV for the story.

Yay Anne Stuart! I can't wait for this book. She needs to get them out faster like Nora Roberts lol. We're all just so impatient!
Jennie: I think the publisher is calling it a paranormal but Anne's website calls it an erotic romance. Very divergent writing styles. I hope it works too.
Cindy: Yeah, I'm very interested in hearing buzz on this anthology when it comes out.
Rosie: they are each writing a different sister's POV for the story. I didn't know that. So it's one story and different POV's? Sounds like what Kingsolver did in The Poisonwood Bible.
Alie: Another AS fan! I wish she wrote as fast as Nora too but I'm willing to wait for anything she writes.
Renee, yes one story, three sisters each with a different power and different guy. Each writer has a sister and writes from her POV. Much more info on site/blog link I posted earlier.
Cool. I've never read a romance like that. It's a great idea really. Each writer can use their own style (light, dark, etc) for the characters. I'll be looking for this one.
Hey, if you want to ... uh ... try before you buy, the Anne Stuart "bundle" showed up in the ebook section of my library.
Squeeeee indeed!
