I've been a lousy blogger lately. My sidebar needs updating, I have some meme's to post and some reviews to write. I suck. I am behind in visiting everyone's blog and leaving comments.
This will be my first weekend home in a month because we have either been camping or I have been working. So I hope to get caught up but the weather is nice so I want to do some yard work, also go to Target, buy some BOOKS (yes, I purged 29 books from my TBR so far), balance my checkbook, and get my hair cut. I think I'm being overly ambitious.
I went to Costco after work last night and bought two books.

Before tossing them in the cart I practiced my mental talk like CindyS suggested (I deserve it, I deserve it, I deserve it). It worked! And I made it through the checkstand with them. She is also the one who came up with the idea to make a list of our 20 favorite books by 20 different authors. I have to cheat because I tried to keep it to 20 but ended up with 25 like KristieJ. Some of these are the same as hers (Ride the Fire - yes!). I put them in alphabetical order according to author since my brain could not handle ranking them this late at night.

The Notorious Rake (Balogh)

I've read a few others and really enjoyed them. Now I'm going to have to try and track down Red Adam's Lady!!
I'm also patiently waiting for Cindy to post her list. I've only read a few of these, so I look forward to checking them out.
Kristie: Try the library or interlibrary loan. That's where I found it first years ago quite by accident. Buying it will set you back a chunk of change. Or you could get very lucky at a UBS.
Devonna: We must be patient with Cindy :) I'm sure she will get to it eventually.
Just back from vacation and haven't done this yet, but I'll probably have a good chunk of these on my list...

I've been hemming and hawing over Just For Kicks by Susan Andersen. I'm not a real fan, but this one sounds good.
Okay now look!! I'm on number 11 and it's slow going. I know I've read a hundred and one keepers but for the life of me I can't seem to remember them.
I also can't find my book journal because my husband decided to move the den around after ripping up the carpet. The ripping up of carpet was a good thing because it was beginning to smell like Cody bum. Anyways, I'm working on it!!
Sheesh. Come up with one meme and I'm getting flack!
Glad you were able to pop in for a bit. Missing you.

Hey. :)
I've heard really good things about Susan Anderson's book you picked up. I have it in my TBR pile and I'm excited to read it.
Tara: Welcome back from vacation. Looks like we have alot in common. I liked most of Andersen's books so I had to get this (and the cover influenced my decision too).
Cindy: Awww, shucks, thanks, I have been reading your blog (and laughing my ass off) but don't have time to comment as much as I want. Good girl! I see you finished and it wasn't too painful, was it? Sorry to give you flack but I've been a bitch lately. I loved this meme!
Valeen: Oh, good, I haven't heard anything about it yet, but I'm hoping for the best. Please let us know what you think.
