I'm staying home sick from work today and I feel a bit like I'm playing hooky from school. I had some dental work done last week, called crown lengthening (and I won't go into what that is because it grosses me out), and it was really throbbing and aching today so I sent email that I would not be in today. Took some extra strength Tylenol and I'm waiting for it to kick in. Doctor gave me a prescription for Vicodin but I HATE that stuff.
Anyway, I'm also reading an extremely good book, Last Summer by Theresa Weir, and I'm having a hard time putting it down (no, that's not why I stayed home from work). I can't remember who told me about this ... Kristie? Sybil? ??? Whoever you are, THANK YOU! I love Johnnie Irish, I love Maggie May. Very emotional book. This may turn out to be a keeper.
I have a few reviews I need to finish, but I think I'll go lay on the couch with my blankie and read.
An avid reader of all types of romance - historical, paranormal, contemporary, romantic suspense - with some mystery and science fiction thrown in.

I feel so guilty when I stay home from work. Hope you're feeling better soon!!
I don't think I can take the credit because I don't think I have this one. I do own quite a few by her and I've loved every one of them. Now I'll have to add this one to the list!
Hope you are feeling better!

I love Therese Weir! I have all of her books. She was such a wonderful romance writer and I miss her. She writes now as Anne Frasier.
Ooops! I almost forgot in my enthusiasm...get better soon. :)
Everyone: Thanks for all your well wishes!
Kristie: Hmmm, I'm not sure now who recommended it, but it's wonderful. It may have been mentioned on AAR's message board. Good book.
Rosie: I love several of her romances (Amazon Lily, Cool Shade) but have never tried any written as Anne Frasier. I don't think they are romances.
Renee you're correct the Anne Frasier books are romances. I couldn't resist reading the PALE IMMORTAL when it came out and will probably read the next book because I'm curious to see where she goes with it, but no HEA here.
Hope your feeling great in no time, girl! :o)
Hope you're feeling better today, and let us know what you read while you were on the couch with your blankie :D
Isn't Maili a huge Therese Weir fan? I've read a few of her books but honestly I hate to spend that much time crying while I'm reading.
Rosie: I need a HEA, I really need it :) so I will resist. She's a talented writer but I need my HEA.
Kookie: Feeling a tad better but still have a headache. Tomorrow should be good.
Tara: You know it could have been Maili. I put it on my wishlist last Feb-Mar when she was still blogging. I did finish it while snuggled up with my blankie (after several cat naps) and it was excellent. It was very angsty with a tortured hero but I didn't shed a tear. He kept sliding back into self destructive behavior so I wanted to shake him, but he was still a wonderful hero.
