Elbow problems

Well, I'm still having pain in my right elbow so, consequently, I'm not typing much. I finally made a doctor's appointment for this Friday. I'm not sure I'll be able to post much this week (not that I've been doing much anyway). I have been wearing a brace and it helped a lot at first but not so much anymore. To top it off I banged my elbow on the door and that didn't do me any good (damn it - I'm a klutzy idiot!)

I'm working on this spreadsheet at work and it's going slow. I'm not setting any speed typing records. And I'm trying to use my left hand for my mouse which takes some of the strain off using my right hand. My left hand has not quite got the knack of left click and right click. My mom was ambidextrous but I am definitely NOT. God, I hate this!

Anyway, I'm still around reading a bunch. And trying to keep up with bloggers.

Sybil: Bad experience, huh? :) I love my internist but I want her to refer me to some kind of specialist.

Our Admin Service Mgr had a horrible experience with her doc today? What is it the season or the times. Lord knows I don't know many people who like their doctors.

Renee hope you feel better soon and find some relief for your elbow.

Renee - could you find out if you can get a voice system for your word program - I could see problems with the spreadsheets. Even if work can't get you one can you buy yourself one for now.

Bob had an elbow problem there a few years back from drywalling (taping and filling an entire house) the doc put him on muscle relaxers and told him if he didn't stop what he was doing he would lose the use of his arm. So I told him no more taping and filling for a bit. Probably took a year before the elbow could handle as much work again.

So definitely give your elbow a break! And keep on with the left hand - Bob did that too.

Good Luck
Cindy

Auuggghhh - I'd be lost without having complete ability to type. I've trained myself the last few years to keyboard rather than mouse as much as possible. So to only use a mouse would drive me batty too!! Hope your arm is feeling better soon!

Sybil: Yikes, a neuro should know what they're doing. I hope you find someone good.

Rosie: I have heard horror stories lately too from people who have very bad experiences with their doctors. I got lucky with mine.

Cindy: Most all my typing is spreadsheets so I don't think a voice rec program would work well with that but it's an interesting idea. That's a long time for Bob's elbow problem to get better. I hope mine doesn't take that long.

Kristie: I have also trained myself with lots of keyboard shortcuts but it's slower than using the mouse and I get impatient so I grab the mouse. My arm is feeling and teeensy bit better the last two days. My dr. appt. is tomorrow.
